VinniBag Inflatable Travel Wine Bag

Vinni Bag Inflatable Travel Wine Bag – reusable travel bag with inflatable cushioning

So I live in the Utah and we have all sorts of quirky liquor laws meaning that every time I travel out of state bootleg some booze home with me. The liquids ban has put a real damper on the bootlegging, but I often pack a few bottles of wine in my checked luggage.

Packing fragile liquids in your checked baggage comes with much anxiety through. Not only do I have to deal with the fear of getting discovered by Utah’s department of booze control, I also have to worry about my bag being handled too roughly resulting in a red wine explosion in my bag on the off chance that my luggage actually makes it onto the plane.  Well VinniBag has come up with a creative solution for this problem.

VinniBag is a reusable travel bag designed to protect wine, olive oil, maple syrup, or whatever fragile liquid items you find yourself traveling with. Simply insert the bottle and roll up the bottom of the bag (similar to a dry bag) and then inflate the bag to protect the contents with the cushy inflatable air chambers. The bag is engineered to withstand the changes in altitude and temperature associated with air travel and the bag can be adjusted to offer a range of protection.

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 8 out of 10

The VinniBag would be perfect as a gift for that frequent traveler that has just about everything. I would bet that they don’t have one of these. The Vinni Bag does exactly what it says it does and it is pretty easy to use. Only downside is that it takes up a lot of room in your suitcase, but I guess that’s what you get for total protection. I could wrap up two bottles of wine in my clothing for the amount of space the VinniBag takes up, but I wouldn’t have the ease of mind of knowing that the bottles aren’t going to shatter and stain everything in my luggage.
