Bolle Scream Goggles

41vxpxxjjyl_sl500_aa280_Bolle Scream Goggles—Bolle’s top of the line model that won’t fog in any condition

Bolle has long had a reputation for making some of the best top-of-the-line goggles out there, and the top-of-the-line Bolle model, the Scream. The Scream goggles have Bollé’s most advanced innovations—Equalizer technology and the Air Booster System—which work together to prevent fogging.

This is the same technology used in the Bolle Fathom goggles and works excellently at preventing fog problems. Equalizer technology works by using waterproof and breathable vents to equalize air pressure between the lenses. This ensures distortion-free vision, eliminates moisture, and prevents fogging at any altitude.

The Air Booster System also prevents fogging by taking advantage of vents at the top of the goggle to control airflow and prevent condensation. For comfort, triple layer face foam feels great against your skin, while the Forestay System has swinging outriggers to make sure the Scream Goggles fit seamlessly with helmets.

While these goggles will not fog on you and look great, there are a few small drawbacks to the Screams. First off, they are large with a much bigger profile than the Bolle Fathom’s. For skiers like me with smaller faces and who wear helmets, this could pose a problem. The Bolle Scream’s are also not cheap. With a price tag at over $100, you may have to weigh if the extra features is worth the cash.

The Quick & Dirty:
Where you can get ‘em:
Bolle Scream Goggle

Why they Rock:

  • P80 plus carbo glass
  • Double spherical PC vented lens
  • Bolle Equalizer technology
  • Air Booster 3 position air management system
  • Triple layer face foam
  • Perfect helmet fit
  • Bolle quick release strap for easy-on, easy off

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 7 out of 10

The reason these goggles get a 7 out of 10 is not because they are not great goggles with excellent features, but rather because I have a hard time justifying the extra cost for these features. While these goggles certainly do stay fog free and are comfortable, I feel there are other models of goggles out there with similar features at a much lower price. That being said, if you are a Bolle goggle junkie and have the bucks to spare, you can’t do much better than the Bolle Screams.
