Rossignol Super Haul Double Wheeled Ski Bag

rossignolsuperhaulRossignol Super Haul Double Ski Bag—A great ski bag for the long haul

While skiing is fun, exhilarating and often liberating, schlepping all your ski equipment is none of those things. In fact, getting your skis from point A to point B often proves to be at least cumbersome and often a huge pain in the ass. That’s why if you travel often (or even just once a year) with your skis, finding a good ski bag that will protect your expensive equipment and make it easier to haul around is definitely important.

As someone who finds myself frequently hauling my skis from my current home in Oregon to my home state of Colorado (gotta get my fill of that Colorado champagne powder), it is important for me to find a bag that has enough padding to protect my skis from careless baggage handlers tossing them about on the tarmac and that’s easy enough to carry that I can handle getting all my luggage to the airport when I’m all alone.

The Rossignol Super Haul 2 Pair wheeled ski bag accomplishes both of these things. Padding throughout the bag as well as padded pole sleeves keep your equipment safe. Three compression straps make sure everything stays secure and neoprene padded grab handles and wheels make it comfortable and easy to get around.

The Rossignol double wheeled ski bag also has a U-shaped full-length zipper for easy access and internal Velcro tie-down straps. Plastic bottom runners also protect the bag from curb scrapes and more. The in-line skate wheels are durable and make for smooth rolling as well.

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 7 out of 10

While this is certainly a nice ski bag with a lot of great features, this ski bag also comes with a hefty price tag. While I certainly don’t mind paying extra to make sure my expensive ski equipment stays safe, I would rather shell out the extra cash on a hard travel ski case like the SporTube double wheeled ski case than on a soft bag like this Rossignol one. While this bag’s extra padding make it likely to protect your skis just fine, the SporTube hard travel ski case will probably do a better job and last a few more seasons for about the same price.

That being said, the Rossignol Long Haul wheeled ski bag does have many great features that make it a good choice when trying to figure out how to transport all of that equipment. With the full-length U-shaped zipper that makes for easy access to the neoprene padded handle and the padded pole sleeves, this Rossignol bag is certainly not short on great features.
