Hydro Flask – insulated stainless steel water bottle
When all those little hipster stainless steel water bottles hit the market, I scoffed at the trend and seriously wondered who would ever buy a $30 water bottle. Well then I was given a Kleen Kanteen as a gift and really liked drinking out of it since it made the water taste way less funky than my trusty Nalgenes. And now after testing out a Hydro Flask, I can say I am a total stainless steel water bottle convert.
The Hydro Flask is the most amazing water bottle ever! What makes the Hydro Flask different than all the other water bottles available you’re probably wondering? Well Hydro Flask in uniquely double-wall vacuum insulated, meaning that the temperature of your liquid never mixes with the air outside of the bottle keeping your cold liquids cold and your hot liquids hot.

I tested it out one morning to see if these claims were for real. I wanted to see how long it would keep my coffee hot and how long it would take for the coffee flavor to leave the bottle. After five hours, I almost couldn’t believe it but the coffee was still hot – not scalding hot, but pretty darn hot. Crazy thing about the bottle is that you can’t tell the temperature of the contents by holding the bottle – the contents are hot, but the bottle feels room temperature. I dumped out the coffee, rinsed the bottle, filled it up with water, and took a big gulp. No lingering coffee flavors whatsoever, again I could barely believe it.
