Traveling with Your iPod
Depending on where and how you travel, traveling with an iPod can be a poor decision. I was wondering how many people travel with their iPod and how many people leave it at home no matter what.

If you leave your iPod at home when you travel, what’s your reasoning behind that?

If you travel with your iPod regularly, how do you keep it safe?

I like to travel simply but still find the ipod great to have with me for so many reasons:
    1. You can upload photos from your camera for safe keeping and easy browsing (depending on your model of ipod)
    2. Aeroplane entertainment can be a bit like cable TV sometimes, tonnes of channels but nothing you really want to watch. At least with your ipod you know you have the music you love on hand at all times (especially if you’re not keen on chatting or are seated next to a snorer)
    3. If you are a university/college student like myself, you can download your lectures & lessons as podcasts and make learning enjoyable, if you have to be studying why not do so laying on a beach or chilling out in a cafe?

I always take my iPod with me because that is what I bought it for. What is the point of having a portable system if you don’t take it with you?

I keep it safe by keeping it with me. It lives in my pocket or in the bag that I keep with me at all times. Basically I don’t let it out of my sight.

The iPod is great to have with me though because in addition to the normal music and shows that I enjoy, I can also use it to store my travel agenda in the notes and use it as a back up drive for data I may need. Finally, I find that listening to podcasts on the road (or airplane) makes the time go faster than most anything else.
