Roxy Shazam Single Ski Bag—For all those stylin’, powder lovin’ ski divas out there
Instead of trying to precariously balance your skis, boots and gear bag as you move your skis from place to place, sliding all your gear into one bag will make your life a lot easier. If you are like me and find yourself often hauling your skis on the plane, than getting a good ski bag is essential.
As a 24-year old female, I sometimes get a few raised eyebrows when I tell people I am a skier. “Oh, cool, you snowboard?†is often the response I get. “No, I don’t snowboard. I ski. Like with two planks.†As snowboarding came of age just about the time I did, I seemingly was one of few people in my age group who didn’t ditch the skis when they were 13, pick up a snowboard and take up the “cooler†mode of riding down the mountain (I will refrain here from going on about why I love skiing so much more than snowboarding). That being said, I do often find myself looking at all of the rad female snowboarder gear and wondering why they don’t have some of the same stuff for us female skiers. Just because I ride down the mountain on skis doesn’t mean I don’t want to look just as stylin’ as that snowboarder chick next to me.
Luckily, there are a few products out there for us female skiers who like to look as badass as we ski. The Roxy Shazam bag is one of them. Not only does this bag have plenty of room for your skis and poles, it straps and can tighten the latches, making it extremely easy to use and functionable. The bag hold skis up to 165 cm. It also features adjustable straps and handles, which make it easy to carry you sticks comfortably. It has a double zipper and is also made from 100% nylon, which makes it water resistant, lightweight and durable. Plus, the colorful graphics make it fun and stylish. You’ll have no problem finding it in baggage claim and you’ll probably get plenty of compliments.

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 7 out of 10
If you are looking for a fairly basic, but still very practical and useable, ski bag with a little extra flair, this bag is a great bet. It’s lightweight and easy to haul around with its adjustable strap and handles. The double zipper and lightweight nylon material also make this a great ski bag and it’s big enough to carry both your skis and your poles. I was disappointed, however, that this bag didn’t come in a longer size. As a gal who likes to ride big skis for my height (I’m 5’6 and ride 169 cm skis), the fact that this bag only can accommodate skis up to 165 cm was a bummer. For a basic bag with no wheels or especially special features, I also found the bag to be a little overpriced for what you get. That being said, in a world where so many ski bags look exactly the same, I really do appreciate that this bag has a little bit of style to it. The graphics are fun and bright and you certainly won’t have any trouble finding your ski bag in the baggage claim.
