Patagonia has done in excellent job at combining extreme water protection into a light wieght and highly packable jacket which they call the Patagonia White Smoke Jacket. You need not worry about sacrificing any type pf protection with the Patagonia White Smoke Jacket. The jacket offers the wearer outstanding protection from rain, snow, and wind.

There are a number of great features and technologies going on in the Patagonia White Smoke Jacket to help keep it dry and light. Most notably these features include H2No fabric and welded seams. Welded seams means no sewing machine was used, no sewing machine means no holes, and no holes means less water inside the jacket. The H2No fabric has been placed in much need areas like the shoulder, back of arms and hood to to increase its waterproofness.
