Depending on your outdoor activity of choice, some day hikes can require more gear than the typical daypack will allow for. For these type of trips need something in between a daypack and a full blown backpack. For these types of day hikes there is the Osprey Kestrel 38 Pack. The Osprey Kestrel 38 Pack is a great multi purpose daypack that has plenty of room for gear heavy day hikes or short overnighters.

As I mentioned before, the Osprey Kestrel 38 Pack is great for gear heavy activities. There is plenty of space to stash gear inside and out on the pack. On the outside of teh pack you will find two zippered pockets on the hipbelt that can store snacks, cameras, or other small gear. For the larger awkward gear, there is plenty of loops and straps on the outside.

The Osprey Kestrel 38 Pack may be a daypack, but it has plenty of backpacking features. Such features includes a built in rain fly which is always nice. The suspension system is pretty advanced for a daypack. It uses a special hook and loop system to help create a fit that is custom to the wearer. There is also a built in bladder and many other advanced features.
