The unique design and the rave reviews about the Mountain Hardwear Drifter Daypack are what really got my attention. The design obviously works well for backcountry use, but also looks as though it would make a good travel pack for cross country traveling. The lack of zippers can protect against theft, the grab loop could work well for tossing the pack under buses, and extra padding on the shoulder straps is always appreciated.
