I definately think that for the amount of stuff he has to orchestrate, that is not a large amount of money. I thought it was cool that they aren’t blowing tens of millions on the top execs…and that they give back to customers and the community.

1.6 million in total compensation for a CEO is piddly. If he was running a company for profit and was as succesful he would be making milions more.
REI also continues to stand by thier product, the enviroment, and its members. If the CEO gets paid a lot, who cares. At least his name is not Ken “Kenny Boy” Lay.
