The activated carbon core helps to reduce the nasty tastes and smells from questionable water sources.

The Katadyn Hiker Water Filter has an output of up to 1 liter per minute. This is the equivalent to 48 strikes per quart. The Katadyn Hiker Water Filter cartridge can handle up to 200 gallons before it needs to be replaced.
