GoLite Galaxy Pack – Full of user friendly features.

The GoLite series of backpacks have always been popular among light wieght backpackers. For those who weren’t lieght wieght backpackers though, the GoLite series of backpacks seemed a bit too simple. Many of the GoLite packs are nothing more than a very simple, top loading bag, with a lid and compression straps. The GoLite Galaxy Pack changes all that.

The GoLite Galaxy Pack is a featured filled, user friendly backpack, made with the GoLite standards. Part of the GoLite Unlimited Series, the GoLite Galaxy Pack is one of the most technologically advanced full suspension packs on the market.

Unlike many of the other GoLite packs, the GoLite Galaxy Pack has two internal pockets. These two pockets are actually accessible from the outside. One pocket gives you easy access to the sleeping bag compartment. The are a number of spots to tie on extra gear and plenty of compression straps.

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 7 out of 10

The only reason I give the GoLite Galaxy Pack such a low rating is because its a hard to find pack. Its no longer in production so you have to shop around quite a bit to find a used one, let alone a new one. That said, its a pretty awesome pack, if you come across one, I recommend picking it up.
