Eco Friendly Gifts

Adopt A Polar Bear CubSometimes it’s really hard to buy things for people on your list, especially if you want to be socially responsible (or they already are) and pay attention to being eco-friendly.

Mary at Eco Travel Logue has come up with some clever options for you.

Here’s a couple of my favorites:

  • World Wildlife Fund allows you to “adopt” an animal, kind of like those TV commercials where you can adopt a child in Somalia, but they allow you to choose from over 40 different animals to adopt.
  • Heifer International allows you to give livestock to a family in need. Probably not your neighbor in San Francisco, but a possibility in Texas… but more realistic the emerging world.

So this holiday season, give the gift of animals – and without the mess of animals. For you at least. And head on over to check out more Green Gifts.
