CamelBak The Better Bottle – A grown up sippy cup.
I like to think of the The Better Bottle by CamelBak as a grown ups version of the sippy cup. You know the ones Im talking about. They are small, plastic, indestructible, have a snap on lid that almost never comes off. The ones that can be thrown clear across the room by a temperamental two year old and make little to now mess. Well, The Better Bottle by CamelBak is just like that, but with a few adult friendly features.
CamelBak has combined two great things in The Better Bottle by CamelBak. It offers you the convince of a water bottle and the comfort of the CamleBak bite valve. The purpose behind The Better Bottle by CamelBak is to create a water bottle for the more active person.
Nalgene water bottles are great, but lets face it, they are pretty hard to drink out of while you’re on the move. Unless of course you like drooling all over your self. The Better Bottle by CamelBak takes care of that problem. Simply bite down on the valve and enjoy, no matter the activity.
The quick & dirty:
Where you can get one:
Amazon: $12

CamelBak now makes a 1 liter version (.5 liter, too) of the Better Bottle and they also sell the cap/bite valve separately so you can retrofit your 1 liter Nalgene bottle for about $9. Works great!

I love my CamelBak bottle. Keeps me sipping in the office, eases my hippy-conscience on the road (where do you recycle water bottles in this airport?), and lets me avoid the never-truly-washed hotel glass.

The 500ml (.5L) version is shaped at the bottom to fit into car cupholders- the .75L and 1L bottles don’t. Also, I think the bottle feels like more of a grown up baby bottle in a way (maybe a baby bottle/sippy cup hybrid). That’s because of the bite valve- you know how baby bottles have the rubber nipple on top that baby suck on…well you have to bite and suck on the chewy rubbery bite valve to drink- a lot like a baby bottle don’t you think?
