Backpacker magazine has put out their annual Gear Guide 2007. The Gear Guide is what happens when Consumer Reports and Backpacker Magazine procreate. After hours of love making, field tests, and reports; we the backpacking community, are presented with an offspring of analytical proportion.

Over the next few days I’m going to cover some of the gear in the 2007 Gear Guide. Backpacker has already given you the low down on all the gear, what I’m going to do, is review their picks from a travelers’ point of view.
