Airline Bans Dell & Apple Laptops

BBC reports Korean Air is banning the use of Dell and “some” Apple laptops while in flight due to the fear of batteries catching on fire.
One might expect the Major US airlines to follow suit, especially considering the current ban of liquids which would be helpful in extinguishing a laptop fire.
On a side note, why does the TSA consider KY Jelly an “essential non-prescription liquid medicine?” Anyone?
