A great top loading pack, the Maverick has tons of organization tools and pockets. With so much room, this pack is ideal for overniht trips or extend stays in teh backcountry. Its really the little features of the Maverick that make it stand out. Things like a waterproof map case, fleece lined eye wear pocket, and built in sleeping bag compression straps are just a few of the great features onthis pack.
High Sierra Summit 45
This is a great pack for the price. It is alsmost identical to a Jansport pack that is about $50 more expensive. This pack is great for backpacking of traveling. When packed minimally, this pack meets airline carry on requirements. The pack has a built in rain fly, sleeping bag compartment, daisy chain loops for extra gear, and plenty of other great features.
Teton Sports Wilderness 55 Internal Frame Backpack
A great beginner pack, the Teton Sports Wilderness is affordable and has all the basic features. There pack is top loading and has one large main compartment, a sleeping bag compartment, and zipperd pockets covering the outside. you will aslo find that the pack is hydration system ready and has a built in rain fly.
